The introduction by Cliff runs: "Peace will now be shattered by the Shadows as they belt into SHADOOGIE". In overall structure and performance this is pretty close to the Album track released in September 1961 (very probably recorded for the station and broadcast soon afterwards), with one big difference among the various flourishes and embellishments from Hank, the abandonment of the studio version's (unique) sequence extending from 1:18 to 1:50. We hear in its place the usual Shadows' styling, first in recorded form in the live South Africa GUITAR BOOGIE, and reiterated right up to SHADOOGIE (19)83 and beyond.
We know that SHADOOGIE was put out on RL on 24 February 1963 although the original studio version had been made almost two years earlier in April 1961. There is no way of knowing whether this particular recording, or any other, was broadcast in 1961, 1962, 1963 or (being popular) in all three!
