Apache / Man Of Mystery / Foot Tapper / FBI / Kon-Tiki / Stingray / Theme For Young Lovers / Parisienne Walkways / Theme From The Deer Hunter / Don’t Cry For Me Argentina / Bright Eyes / Rodrigo’s Guitar Concerto / The Frightened City / Riders In The Sky / Guitar Tango / Genie With The Light Brown Lamp / The War Lord / A Place In The Sun / Atlantis / Wonderful Land / The Savage / Geronimo / Shindig / The Rise And Fall Of Flingel Bunt / Maroc 7 / Dance On!

An easy one, this. Take all 20 tracks of ‘20 Golden Greats’, top them up with half a dozen from ‘String Of Hits’ (Riders In The Sky is the album not the single version commoner nowadays), and there is your ‘Premier Collection’. Wonderful Land is the mock stereo implementaion which is becoming quite uncommon now; Theme For Young Lovers is well presented, with lead guitar in the left channel as it was originally, but The War Lord in mono is no asset, any more than is the single version of Foot Tapper in stereo. The insert skirts round the once thorny question of who composed Stingray by omitting its credits altogether.
