This series offers worthwhile selections from, among others, Earl Klugh, Les Paul and of course The Ventures. EMI Plus is affiliated to Disky, and here mimics the latter’s trick of alternating late with early material, Guitar Tango for instance sitting between Bright Eyes and Baker Street. About the only other thing I can find to say about yet another pedestrian compilation (aside from the fact that it is dirt cheap!) is that five of the included A-singles made it into the Dutch charts in the 60s, while Deer Hunter gave the group their sole No. 1 in 1979; also a hit was the album “String Of Hits”, which is well represented here.
