The Shadows
"The Best Of The Shadows"
Gold Club Eve (Poland) CECD 36–2
Released 1998

Apache / Man Of Mystery / The Frightened City / Guitar Tango / Kon-Tiki / Foot Tapper (single version) / Genie With The Light Brown Lamp / The War Lord (mono) / A Place In The Sun / Midnight / 36–24–36 / Atlantis / Wonderful Land (mock stereo version) / FBI / The Savage / Geronimo / Shindig / Stingray / Theme For Young Lovers / The Rise And Fall Of Flingel Bunt / Maroc 7 / Dance On! / The Stranger / Peace Pipe / Stars Fell On Stockton / The Boys (mono)

Not bad at all by Polish standards: a good selection of A and B sides from the period 1960–1967 along with The Boys. It’s a great pity though that Foot Tapper isn’t in mono and Wonderful Land in proper stereo; and The Boys sounds a bit too recessed.

Never mind, you also get for your money a page in Polish about the history of the group by Pierre Richard.
