This well known fifties ballad was one of the first recordings made at the Luxembourg studios during the summer of 1960, and like many of the other songs from these early sessions was not recorded by Cliff and The Shadows in any other studio. The sound quality of the surviving version is unfortunately poor.
MC: Cliff's phrasing would surely have been tidied up if this opus had ever been tackled at Abbey Road. As it is, this one was probably rattled off at speed to satisfy the need for songs and lots of them in the first round of Luxembourg recordings, before a system of repeated titles could be implemented.
