A good quality song thankfully recorded during benign atmospheric conditions without too much distortion and erratic loss of signal. This ballad (originally recorded by Ricky Nelson) was not recorded by Cliff in any other studio, which makes this 1960 take of the song quite unique. One of the better ballads Cliff recorded at Radio Luxembourg, it is one of the six higher quality tracks found in the collection of an English fan transferring his old reel-to-reel audio tapes to CD format in 2003.
MC: if Cliff had recorded this, with or without The Shadows, it would surely have blown the (desperately cloying) Ricky Nelson version out of the water; for my money in any case James Burton did not do for him what Hank did for Cliff, or anything like.
