This is Malcolm's third invaluable reference work
on The Shadows after A Guide To The Shadows And Hank Marvin On CD (1999)
and The Shadows At EMI (2001) and it examines in depth material recorded
for release on Polydor in the final phase of the group's career. Included
in this volume are 200 b/w illustrations, with over 50 on-stage shots of
the group in the Polydor era; there are cover pics of a wealth of CD and
vinyl product, together with a complete set of picture sleeves of the
numerous 80's singles covered by the group. Of course, there are reviews
of CD issues; data relating to UK and overseas singles and albums; overview
of cover versions and locations on vinyl and CD worldwide for every number,
with data on composers, UK chart performance, album-sourced singles, first
releases on CD, numbers performed on stage, vinyl and CD sources for cover
versions and Shadows' personnel on Polydor recordings. It has the usual
beautiful colour cover and will look stunning as part of your rock
instrumental bookshelf. Needless to say, beautifully crafted and
constructed and destined to be a big seller in Shads' circles.
