    The foremost point worth making about this collection is that it is superbly documented, with track-notes (for which certain group-members have been consulted) from Rob Bradford. It is not one of your usual purposeless compilations either: it consists "entirely of original Shadows’ compositions recorded between 1980 and 1989".1 Running time is generous: we can overlook the second clipped off SHOBA (hardly enough to give it AV status!).

    The three Guardian Angel tracks would be catered for by a further See For Miles release at the end of the year (#81). What a pity that the bonus tracks for that did not pick up the three residual pieces specified above and so parcel up the "originals" very neatly.
